On 25th September, Tuesday, the students of the school of life sciences conducted a  freshers party in the multi-purpose hall. The event was initiated by the final year students of the department in order to “break the ice” and bond with the first year students.

The event was kick-started with the game “truth and dare” which was given an interesting twist.  the dares were written in chits of paper which were placed into balloons. The students then picked their choice of balloon from the floor, burst the balloon and received their dare.

Following this  each person in the room introduced themselves and got to know each other. Normally it would seem odd to not do introductions first, but according to the students, this broke through the awkwardness and allowed for the freshers to interact without holding back. After this, it was time for lunch and papa john never sounded as good as it does on Tuesdays (when it’s 50% off). Having replenished their energy, the students were ready to let loose and dance and rest of the party away.

when asked about the difference that the party made, Payal Joshi enthusiastically replied Well party helped us bond with our juniors, we no longer have awkward “hello’s” echoing down the corridors and of course gave us an excuse to gain more Instagram followers!!
