Hack for Humanity- A Student Initiative

15 teams, 3 themes and the Year of Zayed.

This year’s Hackathon 2.0 was conducted after a successful Hackthon ‘Hack for Happiness’ which was set up in the year 2017 at Manipal Academy of Higher Education, Dubai (MAHE Dubai).

Hackathon ‘Hack for Humanity’ revolved around the themes of Humanitarian & Development Aid, POD Enablement, Social Enablement for Senior Citizens. The Year of Zayed proved as an inspiration for these themes that were incorporated into ‘Hack for Humanity’.

Hack for Humanity was conducted over a period of 2 days. Although, it was followed after a ‘Fun Fair’ which was an event that fell along the lines of being that of a fundraiser. All proceeds (cash and in-kind) would go to the Special Needs Future Development Centre. The Fun Fair was also very closely in association with Hackathon to raise awareness for the Special Needs Future Development Centre.
